Before changing phones, confirm that you can access the intended account's current recovery method. A saved APK is not an account backup.
Check what you control
Use the service's normal account and recovery interface to confirm the relevant method. Keep passwords in an appropriate private place rather than a shared installation note. Do not send OTPs to someone offering to move the account for you.
Separate file and account data
An installer package contains software; it does not by itself preserve a signed-in session or every local setting. Follow the service's current instructions for account access and any supported migration process.
Delay destructive cleanup
Do not reset or discard the old phone merely because a file downloaded on the new one. First verify the new installation and intended account access. If recovery fails, preserve useful access while seeking help.
