Review old COME installers when changing devices

When changing devices, keep source and version records clear before deleting or reusing installer files. An old saved copy may not be the current offer.

Compare the copies

Record each file's origin, claimed version and completed-transfer state. Local saved dates can differ because of copying, and filenames can gain duplicate suffixes. Neither field reliably identifies the newest software.

Verify the new setup first

Check Android installation completion and the intended account access on the new phone. A file transfer alone is not enough. Preserve the previous working route until any access question is resolved.

Clean up within the right scope

Deleting an installer file is different from clearing app data or resetting a phone. Review each selected item and retain any records needed for support. Avoid broad deletion of a folder containing unrelated material.

A useful next step

Use the recognised installed app on the new device and a current source for future updates.
